Christmas is in the air! September is a month of blessings for the Children’s Joy Foundation Davao Residential Center kids. On September 1, 2016, Children’s Joy Foundation USA visited the kids to extend their gesture of unceasing love and support through feeding and giving of supplies for personal and school use.
With the theme, “CJF USA: Reaching out to poor Filipino children through Feeding Mission Program”, the short program prepared by the residential kids started with a welcome remarks from Ms. Rosemarie N. Dimagnaong, Executive Director of CJFI. She expressed much appreciation to CJF USA for the continuous support to CJFI and for choosing CJF Indangan for their feeding mission program.
The kids lined a number of presentations. One notable presentation was a song and dance number in a mashed-up music remix of “Whoops kirri”, “Price tag”, “Sway”, and “Buttercup” played with their favorite stringed instruments guitar and banduria. Smaller kids gracefully danced in their colorful costumes while the visitors took pictures and videos. An atmosphere of joy and profound laughter mantled the activity area that day.
Highlights of the activity is the feeding mission program, CJF USA fed the children with sumptu-ous meal like fried chicken, spaghetti, lechon and the famous panga. After lunch, kids were surprised when each of them were given an ice cream for desert, they really enjoyed eating these all-time favorite saccharine thing.
Loads of kids’ personal and school supplies were officially turned over to Ms. Dimagnaong. She said that these kids are truly grateful for all of the supplies and that CJF USA can be assured that every beneficiary will receive and enjoy the supplies.
During the program, one of the beneficiaries from CJFI, Charlyn (15 yrs old) stood and delivered her hearfelt gratitude. Charlyn shares, “In behalf of my co-residents, we would like to send our warmest thanks and appreciation to all our valued guest and sponsors, especially CJF USA, for this wonderful event. We are exceptionally blessed and indeed grateful for being the beneficiary in this program”. Charlyn added, “To all our visitors, thank you for sharing your time, effort and care to us. Your generosity has created a big impact in our lives. This special day, we are overwhelmed and overjoyed. We hope that the Almighty Father through His Appointed Son Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy will bless you abundantly so that you will continue to help and reach out to even more children in the Philippines. We love you all and again, thank you very much!”
The activity was indeed remarkable. Real meaning of love and support prevailed that day, as observed on their acts and on how the norm of ‘self-first’ turned into ‘others’ first’. A feeling of fulfillment gleamed their faces as they left the activity area.
